DeFi yields in the bearish market conditions

I think the idea of generating high yields has attracted a lot of investors into the DeFi space, but from my scrolling through Reddit threads, telegram groups, discord channels, and crypto Twitter, a large amount of these investors don’t seem to have a good grasp on where the yield comes from.
